How it all started:

For over two decades, my parents have dedicated themselves to the clothing industry, and growing up, I spent countless hours immersed in the operations of their stores. Yet, I never envisioned this path as my own. During my studies, while pursuing a BCom Law degree, I began assisting my parents as a cashier at one of their stores. To my surprise, I found a genuine passion for the day-to-day workings of the business.

This newfound love for the industry sparked the idea of starting my own venture. Fast forward three years, and here I am. With the knowledge and experience I gained from my parents' guidance, I've been able to replicate the remarkable business model they worked tirelessly to build, all while adding my own unique touch. The decision to take over their store was not an easy one, but it was a necessary step in my journey

The choice of a name was particularly significant. I decided to retain the name "Sharon's Factory Shop" as a tribute to my mother, Sharon - an extraordinary woman whose strength and resilience continue to inspire me daily. Not only do I share her name, but I also carry her legacy in both my personal and professional life. So, whether you call me Candice or Sharon, I embrace both names with pride

By keeping the store's name,I honor the sacrifices my parents made and the foundation they laid. Like them, Iremain committed to offering affordable, branded factory overruns of clothing, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children. But, I have also expanded the range to include a selection of proudly South African products crafted by small business owners across the country.

What brings me the greatest joy is hearing about the destinations my products reach. I love imagining South Africans connecting in different corners of the world, sparked by the sight of someone wearing a piece of proudly South African merchandise. lt's a beautiful reminder of our global community.

Another highlight of my journey is the daily interactions with my customers. Their smiles and satisfaction are my greatest rewards. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my incredible parents and the loyalty of my customers, who have helped me build a strong reputation in our small town through their positive word-of-mouth.
